Spring is here!

Well folks it is the middle of March and spring is rapidly approaching!  This is a very exciting time as we are able to glass deer antlers that are melting out of the snow and elk are just beginning to drop their antlers by the day!  I took a road trip down to Utah with a shed hunting buddy and we had a blast!  Ended up with 13 deer antlers and found a nice 5x6 bull elk dead head that we unfortunately had to leave in the woods.  Different states have different laws when it comes to collecting antlers and the possession of dead animal heads.  Utah does not allow you to collect dead heads, unless you call the kill...

Hunting Season has been exciting!

Had an amazing weekend in the high country with Smitty chasing around elk and big bull.  The wind was bumping 40mph gusts so it was hard to stay ahead of them! The best find was when I stumbled upon a 320" dead head 8x5!  This was a really unique bull with good mass and still in perfect condition!  Not sure if he was last years hunter kill or the result of old age and a harsh winter, but I sure am glad to call him mine!  Got him tagged by the Wyoming Game and Fish and all proper documentation filled out.And the search continues with friends trying to fill their general season Bull tags...
